Hello! I’m Eleanor Hand
Board Certified Practitioner, American Polarity Therapy Association
My life has brought me to work with the human energy field. The sensation of energy coursing through the body – of blood circulating, breath expanding and nerves tingling – brought me to explore human beings as expressions of energy. I discovered how stress constricted the flow of this energy and how deep, old patterns can be released through Polarity Therapy.
In my practice as a Polarity Therapist, I use all of my life experiences and education to help my clients sense the energy flow within and around their bodies, while recognizing and releasing constrictions. This openness to energetic flow improves vitality, encourages healthy organs and tissues, allows more flexibility, and brings the clarity needed to improve health.
Polarity therapy integrates osteopathy, naturopathy, reflexology, craniosacral, yoga, chiropractic, acupuncture meridian therapy, and massage.
My work is intuitive and grounded in 40 years of study and 20 years of practice. I apply system-specific modalities developed by Dr. Randolph Stone to balance the parts of the body in need. My sessions are guided by what the client presents, but also integrate Polarity Therapy, Cranioscral, and Reiki in varying degrees . While it is perfectly acceptable for a client to try out a single session, the work is cumulative. With each session, the client is able to release a deeper layer of stagnant energy and blocked patterns. Seven sessions will typically facilitate the energetic shift the client is seeking.

The best way to find out if Polarity and Craniosacral are right for you is to discuss your needs and expectations over the phone.
Plan on spending 60 to 90 minutes in a session. I see people during the day and some evenings. Mostly during the week.
The first session is often profound as old stagnant energy is allowed to flow. All healing is ultimately energetic.

"Life is a river of energy which must flow to keep clear and sweet in its function... If we want health, we must be willing to work for it."

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect during a Polarity session?
In a Polarity session the client is on a massage table, but typically clothed. Contact may be light, medium or firm. Parts of the session will have you on your back, front, and side. In the session, the therapist helps the client awaken to blocked, congested energy and facilitates the free flow. No two sessions are exactly alike.
How will I feel after a Polarity session?
Your results will be unique, but often result in an overwhelming sense of relaxation and a better understanding of your body’s energy patterns. You may feel relief from various symptoms, but the purpose is to shift the energy that is creating the symptoms — a process that requires time.
How does a craniosacral session begin?
It is important that you feel comfortable and safe at all times so you will want to ask for any adjustments you need to the lighting, temperature, etc. Your therapist may ask you from time to time what you are experiencing, and will help you to stay present with whatever your experience is.
What occurs during the craniosacral session?
Session work involves a very light, gentle touch. Your therapist may begin at your feet, at your head (cranium) or on your sacrum (the triangular bone at the bottom of the spine). Sessions can last anywhere from a half hour to an hour or an hour and a half depending on your needs. During that time, the therapist will quietly, gently hold parts of your body, listening to the subtle rhythms and tracking changes in your system. In this process, the therapist will listen for your body’s expression of the order of priorities for this particular session which will lead to your desired outcome.
